West Virginia & Other States

West Virginia qualified for federal grants provided by the National Transportation Funding Bill to subsidize the free "app" download, according to Meers. He says several other states are currently reviewing TextLimit.

Distracted Driving Laws

According to GHSA, 43 states and D.C. currently have in place or recently passed laws banning text messaging for all drivers. Most states have varying handheld cell phone prohibitions.

National Statistics
