(NYSE: USNA), a global nutritional supplement company, today announced that Dr. Balz Frei, director and endowed chair of the prestigious Linus Pauling Institute (LPI), has joined the company's Scientific Advisory Council. Dr. Frei, a highly published scientific researcher and distinguished professor in the department of biochemistry and biophysics at Oregon State University, will be serving alongside existing council members: Chairperson Peter W. Rugg, M.D.; Monica Lewis, M.D.; Bart Moore, M.D.; Christine Wood, M.D.; Heather Tick, M.D.; and Dr. Tim Wood. Additionally, Dr. Susan Kleiner has joined USANA as a nutritional consultant, and Dr. Libby Weaver has joined USANA as a global health educator.
