USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center To Honor Dana And David Dornsife
Headliner Don Henley to Perform; Dana Carvey Hosts
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the nation's top-ranked cancer centers, will honor Dana and David Dornsife with the Visionary Award at its 2015 black tie gala fundraiser, October 10th at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Beverly Hills. In addition, Parkash Gill, M.D. will be recognized for his ground-breaking cancer research as one of the members of the elite team of scientific researchers at USC Norris, with the Research Innovation Award. The evening's entertainment will showcase multi-Grammy Award winner Don Henley, founding member of the Eagles and currently touring for his new album, Cass County. Emmy Award- winning actor, comedian and Saturday Night Live alum Dana Carvey, hosts the event.
Honorary event hosts include C.L. Max Nikias, president of the University of Southern California; Carmen A. Puliafito, M.D., M.B.A., dean of the Keck School of Medicine of USC; and Stephen B. Gruber, M.D., PhD., M.P.H., director, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. The evening's presenting sponsor and honorary chair is Raymond A. Mirra.
