Utopia Announces Global Reseller Agreement with SAP to Deliver Data Governance Solution for Retail and Fashion Management

MUNDELEIN, Ill., April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Utopia Global, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise data solutions and a long-time SAP partner, announced the signing of a global reseller agreement with SAP (NYSE: SAP). As part of the agreement, SAP will resell Utopia's Master Data Governance for Retail and Fashion Management™ (Utopia MDG for RFM™) solution under the name SAP® Master Data Governance application, retail and fashion management extension by Utopia. This will enable SAP to help its customers better manage their mission-critical article master data, thus helping speed time to market, improve decision support and decrease IT costs associated with master data management.

Utopia's MDG for RFM solution provides a governance platform for master data objects specific to the article master, including basic data, classification and purchasing. Additional retail article data such as logistics, listing, sales and point of sale (POS) are covered. The solution integrates with the SAP ERP and SAP Master Data Governance applications and complements the existing domains for material, supplier, customer, finance and enterprise asset management. Utopia's MDG for RFM offering has been developed in the ABAP® programming language and is designed consistent with SAP's architectural guidelines for managing master data, thereby offering integration with SAP ERP. Customers running SAP's industry solutions, SAP Merchandising for Retail and Wholesale Distribution,  SAP Fashion Management or both, will be able to take advantage of this modern approach for governing the data lifecycle for the article master.
