HANAU, Germany, March 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH & Co. KG (VAC), a leading global manufacturer of advanced magnetic materials, announced three strategic appointments to its management team. These appointments are a natural outcome of VAC's transformation strategy that aims to enhance customer value through a solution oriented focus and setting a high bar for ease of doing business.

Effective March 2017:

Scott Pelhank has joined VAC as its Vice President of Global Sales.  Scott is a 20-year sales veteran, with over 17 years of experience in managing sales teams across global industrial, electronic, automotive, and specialty materials businesses. In his last role as Vice President of Sales, Scott focused on large OEM and Tiered customer sales for Wurth Electronic Midcom Americas. Scott has a B.S. in Marketing from Illinois State University. Scott will be relocating to VAC's headquarters in Hanau, Germany.

Jeremy Martin has joined VAC as the General Manager of Americas. Jeremy joins the team with a decade-long record of developing and growing businesses both as an executive in his prior role at Eaton B-Line and as a General Manager at Hilti North America. Jeremy earned an M.B.A. from the University of Portland and speaks fluent English, Spanish and German. Jeremy will be operating out of VAC Americas headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

Ralf Koch, has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Research and Development. Ralf joined VAC in 2004 and has taken on increased responsibility in different positions as a Director of Product Management and Product Development. Ralf received a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt and a doctorate from the University of Stuttgart. In his role as Vice President of R&D, Ralf will focus on delivering solutions that meet VAC's evolving customer needs and improve the speed to market of new products and applications. Ralf will continue to operate out of VAC's headquarters in Hanau, Germany.
