Valet Waste Announces new Chairman of the Board and CEO

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Valet Waste announces Michael Ferris to become Chairman and Shawn Handrahan to become CEO effective January 2, 2013.

Valet Waste, the national leader in multifamily doorstep services announced today that Michael Ferris, the founder and current CEO, will become Chairman of the Board and Shawn Handrahan, the current President, will become CEO. 

Both appointments will be effective on January 2, 2013. Michael Ferris founded Valet Waste sixteen years ago and has served as its CEO since that time.  During his tenure he has led Valet's growth from a start-up to a full scale national service provider with operations in 27 states employing over 1,500 associates nationwide.

Shawn Handrahan joined Valet Waste in 2012, after more than a decade serving the multifamily industry with HD Supply Facilities Maintenance. While at HD Supply he held various leadership roles, most recently as Vice President – Multifamily.  Prior to that, Shawn spent 7 years with Konica Business Technologies, USA in various leadership positions.
