Valspar Joins Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County to Dedicate Valspar Championship Home on September 23

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Valspar Championship presented by BB&T, in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County, will be joined by Valspar Corporation to dedicate a new home for a single mom and her two kids at 4212 N. 18^th Street in St. Petersburg, Florida on Wednesday, September 23 at 5 p.m.

Keys to the Habitat home in St. Petersburg, Florida will be presented to homeowner Rolanda Lawrence (center) and her children. The Habitat home, built with the aid of volunteers from throughout the Valspar Championship community, including board members, the Copperheads, staff and tournament volunteers, is for the Lawrence family. Les Muma, General Chairman of the 2016 Valspar Championship, will present the keys to the home to homeowner Rolanda Lawrence and her children. Kimberly Welch, Vice President of Communications for Valspar and President of the Valspar Foundation, will also make a special presentation to the Lawrence family.

The build was made possible by a donation from Copperhead Charities as a result of net proceeds from the 2015 Valspar Championship. The Copperheads have a history of more than 30 years of aiding Tampa Bay area charities through professional golf. The Valspar Championship is a men's professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, and is played annually on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida.

As is the case with all Habitat for Humanity homes built or renovated in the United States, Valspar donates the paint. Media are welcome to attend.
