Vanguard Realty Group Names Jerry Thomas Chief Operating Officer
ROCKVILLE, Md., May 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --Vanguard Realty Group announced today that Jerry Thomas has been named the company's Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. Mr. Thomas will assume leadership and oversight responsibilities for all Company operations, and for continuing to build upon the more recent growth in the Company's portfolio of properties.
Mr. Thomas is a senior business executive with broad-based expertise in sales, operations, finance, and business development. He spent the first 10 years of his executive career as Vice President and Director of Operations & Sales at FedEx Kinko's, where he led and managed a team of Regional and District Managers in Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Training, Technology, Operations, Loss Prevention and Real Estate, overseeing 445 employees.
Following his time at FedEx Kinko's, Mr. Thomas held executive level positions at several other well respected commercial real estate-related firms which provided business consulting services; the most recent of these firms being Stellar Management in New York, NY. As Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President at Stellar, Mr. Thomas was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the firm's multifamily and commercial real estate portfolio across North America.
