VASCO Unveils New Security Modules for Application Developers and ISVs

PARIS and LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- VASCO Data Security International, Inc. (NASDAQ: VDSI), a global leader in authentication, electronic signatures, and identity management, announced today the release of the latest version of DIGIPASS for Apps and DIGIPASS for Mobile application security suite. The enhanced solutions incorporate features that allow application developers to protect their applications while creating a frictionless user experience.

New features of DIGIPASS for Apps and DIGIPASS for Mobile version 4.4 include:

• Client-Side Risk Scoring and Contextual Signing: Risk scoring driven by user, platform and context elements are now embedded into the One Time Password (OTP) authentication request for enhanced security and improved server-side analytics.
• Secure App-to-App Communications: An encrypted secure channel for user and transaction authentication and validation adds an additional layer of protection to the secure delegation of OTP, signatures and scoring.
• Enhanced Application Security: State-of-the-art obfuscation, white box cryptography and coding, as well as enhancements to jailbreak and rootkit detection capabilities help organizations increase security across all core components of an application.

DIGIPASS for Apps is an SDK library of security applications for developers and includes modules for two-factor authentication with OTP, challenge response, and signature. Additional security features include QR Code support, key management, secure storage, device fingerprinting and device binding, jailbreak and rootkit detection and geolocation. DIGIPASS for Mobile is a stand-alone mobile application with three provisioning modes and offer all of the features of DIGIPASS for Apps.
