HOUSTON, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- vCompute announced today it has completed the deployment of an advanced data center solution for Spectrum Geo Inc. "We believe the current co-location models are limited, as more corporations are becoming dissatisfied with standard hosting services. If your need is short term, standard cage space may be the way to go, However, vCompute provides a solution that can only be described as 'data center a la carte,'" commented Edward V. Hawes, CEO of vCompute.
vCompute provides custom data center space based on client designs and features menu items such as natural gas generators, advanced environmental controls, power bus systems, advanced power management and much more. By monetizing the centers, vCompute allows clients to expand their compute facilities without the need for large capital expenditures, hence allowing clients the flexibility to quickly deploy customized data center space.
When asked about the vCompute data center deployment process, Andy Cuttell, Senior Vice President of Spectrum Geo commented, "We are very pleased with the positive attitude of vCompute in building this data center for us in a timely fashion, and in addressing all issues promptly." Jeff Anderson, Operations Manager at Spectrum also stated, "vCompute has constructed a modern facility which will meet Spectrum's needs for many years to come."
To gain an international perspective, we asked for a review of the vCompute solution from John Lyons, VP Information Technology for Spectrum Geo, in the UK, "vCompute offered us a unique opportunity to construct a customized data centre to our specification, with all the advantages of operating in our own space but with the capital benefits of co-hosting."
vCompute has been in operation since 2003, and is a premier global provider of high performance computing and managed services for the energy, manufacturing, scientific, government and other commercial sectors.
When asked about future plans, Hawes stated, "vCompute has made it past the 10-year mark and is clearly on a path of substantial growth. I expect continued expansion of our HPC services and explosive growth in the managed services sector globally."
vCompute is headquartered in Houston Texas.
