Vectron Joins Symmetricom SyncWorld Ecosystem Program

SAN JOSE, Calif. and HUDSON, N.H., May 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Symmetricom^®, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYMM), a worldwide leader in precision time and frequency technologies, today welcomed Vectron International, a leader in the design and manufacture of precision oscillator and timing solutions, to Symmetricom's SyncWorld® Ecosystem Program.

A new partner in the ecosystem's Small Cells category, Vectron's VT-803 Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) was recently tested and validated for both Network Time Protocol (NTP) and Precision Time Protocol (PTP) with Symmetricom's SCr/SCe SoftClocks. The solution combines a Symmetricom SoftClock (SCr for residential deployments and SCe for enterprise) with embedded major baseband processors and a Vectron oscillator.
