Venbrook Expands Transportation Division, Taps Industry Veteran David Hicks as Practice Lead

LOS ANGELES, March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Venbrook Group LLC ("Venbrook"), one of the fastest growing independently owned insurance brokerage, claims, and risk management consulting companies in the U.S., today announced the appointment of David Hicks ("Hicks") as Senior Vice President, Transportation Practice Lead. He will be based in the greater Sacramento, CA area.

Hicks joins Venbrook with 22 years of experience in transportation insurance. As practice lead for the Transportation division, he will build out the division with a keen eye on the unique risks and challenges faced by trucking and fleet companies across the nation. Putting a focus on risk management strategies, safety consulting, and keeping fleets compliant and profitable, Hicks will seek to strengthen the team with experienced producers to help trucking companies operate safely and cost-effectively.

Most recently, Hicks served as Vice President at James G. Parker and previously at HUB Transportation. He brings longstanding relationships with specialty companies to Venbrook, giving the firm immediate access to exclusive markets and commercial products that help address specific industry risks. He will report to Jeff Lang, Executive Vice President, Retail Services Division.
