Vencore Selected To Provide Cyberspace Science, Research, Engineering And Technology Integration To The United States Navy
CHANTILLY, Va., Nov. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Vencore, Inc. announced today that it has received an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide cyberspace science, research, engineering, and technology integration to the United States Navy Space and Naval Warfare Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is worth $80M with a $135M ceiling if all options are exercised.
Under the contract, Vencore will examine the architecture, engineering, functionality, interface and interoperability of cyberspace operations systems, services and capabilities at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. This will include all enabling technologies such as operational exercise design and construction, operations and requirements analysis, concept formulation and development, feasibility demonstrations and operational and technical support.
More specifically, the company will support rapid research, development, prototyping, demonstration, evaluation and transition of cyber solutions for SPAWAR Pacific. The broad scope of work, as well as the emphasis on research and analysis, will encourage the development of countermeasures to current and emerging threats. Building on existing work with the DoD and other government clients, this engagement will further Vencore's efforts to help protect U.S. assets at home and abroad.
