Biltgen, Ph.D., technical director of analytics, has been named the inaugural winner of the Neil Armstrong Award of Excellence. Biltgen will receive the award at the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's (ASF) Innovators Gala on Sept. 16, 2017 in Washington, D.C.
The award is presented to a former ASF scholar whose research and work has made a positive impact on industry and who exemplifies a passion to expand the boundaries of exploration through science and technology. Biltgen is a two-time ASF scholar having received the award in both 2001 and 2002.
