Venerable Santa Cruz Merchant Announces 30th Anniversary

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Camouflage, Santa Cruz mainstay in the business of providing intimate apparel and inspiring safe, creative intimate exploration since 1980, today announces the 30th anniversary of the Camouflage brand.

Continuing the model established by founder Joan Levine in 1980, new owners since 2006 Ken Vinson and Shannon Collins are keeping the company abreast of the times by refining their website and venturing further into the on-line market, while retaining the safe and user-friendly environment that has always been in place at the downtown store. Additionally, they have refreshed their company tagline from "Experience the Fantasy" to "Positively Sexy."

Having begun in the anything-goes Reagan era of sexual freedom, Camouflage defined itself as not just another toy store by catering to and nurturing the woman's side of the equation. As times progress this expands to include all gender persuasions, making Camouflage the most locally frequented source for the requirements of pleasure seekers everywhere.

In looking back over the lifetime of Camouflage, Joan had this to say: "When I was here at the Valentine's party, I felt so at peace. I'd been so worried about the store, but it was so great, so beautiful, the window, the displays, the people - I thought, 'wow I can be at peace because the store is fine.'"
