Venture Global LNG Expands Leadership Team With Senior Executive Of Gas Supply And Infrastructure
WASHINGTON, Jan. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Venture Global LNG, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jimmy Staton has joined the company as Executive Vice President. In addition to his general contribution to executive leadership, in this role Staton will take lead responsibility for gas supply and gas procurement strategies.

Staton brings to Venture Global LNG more than 30 years of executive-level management in the gas and electricity industries. Staton most recently served as a top officer of NiSource, Inc., one of the country's largest natural gas transmission, storage and distribution systems, serving as Executive Vice President and Group CEO for its Columbia Pipeline Group. While at NiSource, Staton was responsible for developing and executing strategies resulting in a portfolio of $25 billion of long-term investment opportunities. Prior to his tenure at NiSource, Staton held several senior executive level positions at Dominion Resources, Inc. where he helped create one of the lowest cost operations in the industry.
Staton has also been active in industry organizations. He served on the Board of Directors for the Edison Electric Institute, the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the American Gas Association, the American Gas Foundation and the Southern Gas Association. Staton will continue to serve on the Board of Directors for Venture Global LNG, Inc.
