Venture Highway platform chosen to instruct, empower Caribbean entrepreneurs

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbus, Ohio-based Venture Highway today announced a partnership with CME Consulting Limited of Trinidad and Tobago, to strategically integrate its online entrepreneurial education suite with academic institutions in the Caribbean interested in offering entrepreneurship programs.

Now aspiring entrepreneurs spanning from Jamaica to Trinidad and Tobago will soon learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship using the same platform honed by students and faculty at the Ohio State University and Columbus College of Art and Design.

Last summer, Venture Highway identified entrepreneur conferences in the Caribbean. Outreach to organizers led them to Judith Mark, managing director of CME Consulting Limited, whose company curates entrepreneurship programs for educational institutions.

Mark anticipates the Venture Highway learning suite being used initially in Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago, the hubs of Caribbean entrepreneurial activity.  She also anticipates a minimum of five institutions using the platform with estimated program enrollment between 1,500 and 2,000 during 2013.
