Veolia Environmental Services within Tasmania owns and operates three recycling facilities, which sort and separate materials such as paper, plastic and glass for re-use. By recycling these products, Veolia is helping to minimise the environmental impacts of waste which include reduced greenhouse gas emissions, reduced reliance on virgin materials and reduced waste-to-landfill rates.
By educating primary school children on the correct practices relating to waste and recycling, Veolia is helping to ensure that Tasmania's future generations are active recyclers and understand what they can do to reduce their impact on the environment.
