José Bacellar is uniquely qualified to lead efforts across multiple jurisdictions, having assisted a number of companies in North America to expand into Latin America. He brings extensive professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and he has relevant experience in the medical cannabis industry. Prior positions he has held include Head of Business Development, Canopy Latam; interim COO, Canopy Health (UK); Head of Business Development, ACIC Pharmaceuticals (Canada); CEO, Vetnil (Brazil); and CEO & President, Bombril S/A (Brazil).

José Bacellar holds a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.Sc. in Business Administration from the Universidade de Sao Paulo (FEA/USP), and has received an Award of Business Leadership from the Rotman School of Management - University of Toronto.
