Verdi Productions Signs Game of Thrones Actor Ciaran Hinds and Sons of Anarchy Star Katey Sagal to Join Miles Teller in Bleed for This

Verdi Productions told Investor Ideas that 'Game of Thrones' actor Ciaran Hinds and 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'Married With Children' star Katey Sagal have been cast in Bleed for This, the film based on the true story of boxer Vinny Pazienza.

Miles Teller is starring as the five-time world champion boxer "Vinny Paz," who was injured in a near-fatal car crash at the peak of his career that left him with a broken neck. Not knowing if he'd ever walk again, he made an incredible comeback, and after months of recovery and against doctors' orders, Paz went back to the gym under the guidance of infamous trainer Kevin Rooney (Aaron Eckhart) and made a triumphant return to the ring just over a year later.

Ciaran Hinds will play the boxer's father, Angelo, with Sagal playing Vinny's mother, Louise.

Ben Younger (2005's Prime) is writing and directing Bleed for This, which is executive produced by Martin Scorsese. Younger is also producing with Chad A. Verdi, Bruce Cohen, Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Noah Kraft. Michelle Verdi and Joshua Sason are executive producing.

Verdi's business partner, Joshua Sason of Magna Entertainment, is financing Bleed for This, and CAA, which packaged the project, is repping domestic distribution rights with WME.

After Bleed for This, the Verdi's will team up with Scorsese and Koskoff again on Silence. Silence stars Andrew Garfield and Liam Neeson. Filming will take place in Taiwan in in February 2015.
