Vertex Standard Introduces Enhanced Portable Radios with Expanded Safety Solutions for Industrial/Commercial Markets

TOKYO, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Vertex Standard Company announced a new series of portable two-way radios ideally suited for users looking for a means of efficient coordination to maintain productivity, jobsite safety and responsiveness to production problems or injuries. Known for compact, feature-rich radios at a competitive price, Vertex Standard continues this approach with the new VX-450 Series providing expanded safety and security functions for cost-effective communications.

The new VX-450 series will feature Emergency and Lone Worker safety alerts built-in with Man Down alert and intrinsically safe radios as options. Channel announcement, 700 mW loud audio output and VOX capabilities are also built-in for expanded responsiveness and productivity. Additional features offered will include: voice inversion encryption, MDC-1200® encode/decode and 2-tone/5-tone encode/decode built-in. Frequency ranges include 134-174 MHz, 400 – 470 MHz and 450 – 512 MHz.  

The series will include a full keypad (16 key) and four-key models, both with 8-character alphanumeric display and 512 and 256 channel capacity respectively and a non-display option.

As with all Vertex Standard radios, the new VX-450 Series is backed with a full 3-year warranty in North America. Future additions planned based on this new platform include LTR/Passport trunking models to be announced later in 2010.
