VertiFresh Outlines Urban Farming Strategy

DENVER, Sept. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- VertiFresh, LLC ("VertiFresh") outlined today the company's urban farming strategy.  Shortly after introducing its hydroponic lettuce in the "Alferd Packer" salad offered by Denver-based MAD Greens Inspired Eats ("MAD Greens"), customer response has been overwhelmingly positive with several of MAD Green's 11 locations reporting strong sales of the now popular "locals-only" salad. Given this strong start, VertiFresh has outlined the key components of company's long-term strategic plan which includes expanding capacity along with providing the freshest locally grown produce and maintaining competitive costs.

The company has identified several new markets where it feels there is strong demand and plans to build additional PharmPlex facilities in major urban markets throughout California and in Washington D.C.
