SAN DIEGO and WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Verve Wireless, Inc., the leading mobile advertising platform for national and local media, announced today that it has hired several experienced mobile sales executives, significantly expanding its national sales team. Several of the new hires were previously with Greystripe, which was recently purchased by ValueClick, including Linda Gluszak, Regional VP, who leads the eastern region out of Verve's NYC office, and Beau Davis, VP of Midwest, who manages Verve's Chicago-based sales team. Trent Throckmorton, previously with Jumptap, leads Verve's national sales efforts on the west coast as Regional VP and is based in Los Angeles.
"We are fortunate to bring such an accomplished team of sales executives into our company, let alone a group with this level of mobile sales experience," said Tom MacIsaac, CEO of Verve. "Collectively, they have been on the leading edge of providing mobile solutions to national advertisers, and their interest in joining Verve demonstrates what a unique position we occupy in today's mobile advertising market."
Linda Gluszak, Regional Vice President of Eastern Sales, started her career in traditional media before heading to digital in 1998 at Discovery Communication. Linda has been at the forefront of mobile advertising since its inception, helping lead the mobile advertising efforts at Enpocket, Nokia and Greystripe. Additionally, Linda serves as co-chair of the Women in Wireless careers committee.
Beau Davis, Regional Vice President of Central Sales, was previously at Greystripe, where he consistently doubled sales year over year, working with such leading brands as Wrigley, Kraft Foods, Walgreens, General Motors and Hewlett-Packard. Starting his career at Starcom Mediavest, Beau then moved over as one of the original three members of Publicis Groupe's award-winning Phonevalley USA, named OMMA magazine's Mobile Agency of the Year in 2009.
Trent Throckmorton, Regional Vice President of Western Sales, joins Verve from Jumptap, where he managed key relationships with leading interactive agencies and brands on the west coast, including Interpublic Group's Initiative, Toyota, Sony Studios and Paramount. Prior to Jumptap, Trent was at CBS Interactive, where he was responsible for developing key advertising partnership deals for CBSsports.com and NCAA.com.
Kelly Kandra Stack, Midwest Regional Director, joins Verve from Greystripe and Undertone.
Brian Rosenberg, East Coast Regional Director, joins Verve from Cox Digital and AOL.
Verve announced the opening of its New York City office on Broadway. Conveniently located just south of Times Square at 1450 Broadway, the new office on the 41st floor will serve as the hub for the east coast region's advertising sales team.
The announcement of these additions comes on the heels of the hiring of Dan Hodges as Chief Revenue Officer, and former Advertising.com executive Aimee Irwin, who joined as SVP Business Development and Publisher Network (http://www.vervewireless.com/staging1/news-2011-danhodges.html).
