Veterinary Hospital Managers Association's Annual Conference Game Show Raises Questions

SAN ANTONIO, Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Answer: The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio. The Question: Where is the 2011 Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) Annual Conference and 30th Anniversary Tribute being held?  

On October 13-16, veterinary hospital managers from across North America will gather in San Antonio for a learning intensive experience. This year's conference theme "Reaching New Heights:  Educating. Achieving. Connecting" recognizes the vital connection between an informed manager and a successful practice.  The conference offers 18 Continuing Education Hours (19 for Certified Veterinary Practice Managers).

In addition to the highly anticipated learning and networking experiences, conference organizers have introduced some healthy competition. In recognition of VHMA's 30th anniversary, a VHMA Jeopardy! match will be held October 14. Well known, obscure and just plain preposterous questions will allow contestants to demonstrate their knowledge of the Association's history and milestones. Contestants, who are VHMA members, will play before a live audience. Prizes will be awarded.

A Comprehensive Learning Experience

VHMA's Annual Meeting agenda is highly relevant because the topics were identified as "must know to succeed" subjects by practitioners in the field.

Attendees will leave sessions with useful information allowing for practical application of their newfound insights. Some highlights include: identifying skills that can be used to empower the team and better lead the practice; best practices in software usage; strengthening communication with clients; uncovering  the components that distinguish a well-managed practice from others; and strategies for becoming more media savvy to better position your practice. Break-out sessions by track are included to address the distinct needs of managers ranging from new to seasoned. The schedule is a full one, and the learning opportunities are invaluable.
