PORTLAND, Ore., July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- VIA and its specialty division, VIA Legal, a leading provider of accurate and efficient legal translation, today announced that it has integrated its legal translation service into the HP Autonomy eDiscovery offering. As a result, HP Autonomy eDiscovery customers can have a central team read all documents in a review, not just those written in a language in which they are fluent.

The review process accounts for 60 percent of the costs of eDiscovery in traditional cases, and the addition of foreign language documents adds a layer of complexity that can make prices go up and deadlines slip. Integrating an efficient and effective solution for translating large volumes of foreign language content to be reviewed by legal professionals in their native language provides organizations with measurable time and cost savings.

Drawing on years of legal translation expertise in over 125 languages around the globe, VIA incorporates specific key terms and phrases that improve the accuracy and increase the efficiency of the machine translation to provide organizations with fast translation of their foreign language content. This workflow will integrate seamlessly to provide customers with direct access to review English versions of translated foreign language case materials.

The Autonomy eDiscovery product is built on the IDOL platform, which can uniquely access, understand, and analyze large collections of data, regardless of the language in which documents are written.
