Viamedia, Hardee's® Announce $10,000 College Fund Contest Winner

LEXINGTON, Ky., Jan. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Viamedia, the television industry's leading independent provider of outsourced local television advertising services on behalf of cable companies, and Hardee's Restaurants LLC today named Emily Roberts from Clay County, Kentucky the winner of its 2014 Hardee's® $10,000 College Fund Contest. A political science major at Eastern Kentucky University who has helped raise thousands of dollars for cancer patients. Roberts was selected based on her commitment to community service and academic excellence.

Roberts is a freshman studying at Eastern Kentucky University. In addition to helping raise thousands of dollars for local cancer patients and the Cancer Coalition, Roberts is a peer tutor for special needs students.

The companies announced the scholarship in August and was open to Central Kentucky students enrolled in a Kentucky college or University by December 31, 2014, who have a 2.5 GPA or higher and are at least 17 years old.
