Vias Imports to host Grand Portfolio Tasting

NEW YORK, April 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Vias Imports Ltd., a New York based Italian wine importer, will be hosting their annual Grand Portfolio Tasting on Monday, May 15^th. Every spring, Vias invites their wine producers to come to New York to showcase their wines and represent the vastly diverse regions they hail from. From Italy alone, Vias imports from eighteen different wine-producing regions. The tasting will also feature wines from Vias' distributor portfolio, including Spain, France, Portugal, Austria, Armenia, Lebanon, Argentina, and the U.S. Over 400 wines in total will be available to taste and around 90 producers present to tell their stories and relay an educational experience about the wines they create.

The tasting will also include unique spirits and their producers from Italy, France, Colombia, Arizona, and New York.

Guests can expect to explore the newly-released 2012 Brunello di Montalcino wines from producers such as Camigliano, Fossacolle, and La Poderina, 2013 Barbaresco from Produttori del Barbaresco, Nebbiolo from Piedmont's Pecchenino, and freshly bottled 2016 whites and rosés from around the world. New wineries to the portfolio Castello di Spessa from Friuli, Fattoria del Teso from Tuscany, and Quinta da Romaneira from the Duoro region of Portugal will make their debuts into the market as well.

The Vias Grand Portfolio Tasting promises to be an ideal opportunity to meet wine producers in person and gain insight into the intricate process that is winemaking. This event is free of charge and open to all members of the wine trade and wine lovers.
