The FEC core is optimized for 100 Gbps data rates and is scalable to 40 Gbps or beyond 100 Gbps, and easily adapts to higher order modulations (e.g., QPSK, 8PSK, n-QAM) and OFDM. The FEC cores are optimized for low power consumption and latency and for use with 28 to 40 nm ASIC processes.
