Vibration Isolation Specialist Getzner Opens US Office

In August, Getzner Werkstoffe, a leading vibration isolation specialist, opened a subsidiary in Charlotte (NC). Its vibration isolation solutions block out noise and vibrations. The Rushmore and Touraine buildings in NYC demonstrate the positive impact this has on comfort and the value of real estate.

Getzner Werkstoffe, one of the world's leading vibration isolation specialists, opened a subsidiary in Charlotte (NC) in early August. "We have been supplying solutions to isolate buildings and railroads in the US from noise and vibrations for over 20 years. Industry is also keen on our closed cellular materials. This prompted us to open an office so we can further improve the service we offer and react even more quickly," explains CEO Jürgen Rainalter. Reference construction projects include the Rushmore building, erected over an Amtrak line near Times Square, and The Touraine, a fifteen-floor apartment complex on the Upper East Side. Both buildings provide the highest levels of comfort, despite their proximity to subway lines. The latter is full-surface bedded on Getzner's Sylodyn® material. Getzner USA's main tasks will be project management and sales; throughout North America and Canada.

Increasing demand for vibration solutions for construction and industry

"North America is a promising market. Charlotte itself is commercially attractive with a good infrastructure and many potential clients close by," says Andreas Denk, President of Getzner USA. Denk has been with Getzner since 2002 and was formerly also responsible for projects in the USA. Getzner is seeking sales partners in the USA and is budgeting for a turnover of 1.5 million dollars in year one, increasing initially by 50% a year.
