WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, September 22, Vice President Mike Pence will address the 13th annual Values Voter Summit taking place at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Pence will be the first sitting Vice President to address the Summit taking place September 21-23. Last year, President Donald Trump was the first sitting president to address attendees at the Values Voter Summit.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins released the following statement:
"Values voters waited eight years for a leader who puts America's mission first and respects the values that made America into a great nation. In 2016, values voters were instrumental in the election of President Trump and Vice President Pence.
"Values voters will be coming to our nation's capital eager to continue the restoration of faith, family, and freedom in American life. Vice President Pence has been a vital part of the Trump administration's efforts to restore religious liberty, uphold the sanctity of human life in our policies and rebuild America's economy.
Since the early days of the campaign, President Trump allied himself with values voters, promising to put an end to the eight years of relentless assault on the First Amendment. Poll after poll has revealed that Values voters remain committed to an administration that is committed to keeping their promises and restore American's fundamental freedoms," Perkins concluded.
Confirmed speakers include Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Dr. Ben Carson, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep.
