Vickie Schray Promoted to Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy for Bridgepoint Education

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of postsecondary education services, announced today that Vickie Schray has been promoted to the position of executive vice president of regulatory affairs and public policy, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Andrew Clark. In this role, she will be responsible for external relationships and influencing regulatory affairs and public policy with federal, state and accreditation agencies and policy makers.

Schray joined Bridgepoint Education in 2011. Prior to her promotion, she held the position of senior vice president of regulatory affairs for Bridgepoint Education. Schray's previous experience includes serving in various leadership positions with the U.S. Department of Education, including deputy director for the Secretary of Education's Commission on the Future of Higher Education, acting deputy assistant secretary in the Office of Postsecondary Education, and she was delegated the authority to serve as the under secretary of education and the assistant secretary for postsecondary education.
