View Dynamic Glass Publishes Third-Party Verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

MILPITAS, Calif., Jan. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- View^®, the leader in dynamic glass, today has published an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for View Dynamic Glass, verified by UL Environment. The EPD certification, combined with View's Health Product Declaration (HPD) and Declare^® label, provides architects, building owners, developers and other specifiers with independent, third-party verification of environmental performance benefits for View Dynamic Glass.

The EPD for View Dynamic Glass earns points in the LEED^® certification process for building projects, specifically the Materials and Resources category of LEED v4, the latest green building standard. View Dynamic Glass can assist in achieving multiple additional credits for high-performance green building certification through reduced energy consumption, increased user controllability and improved thermal comfort and daylighting.

Unlike traditional windows that need blinds or shades, View Dynamic Glass intelligently adjusts in response to the sun's energy and user preferences, seamlessly transitioning through multiple tint states to improve user comfort and energy efficiency. In a typical installation, View Dynamic Glass reduces annual HVAC and lighting energy consumption by as much as 20 percent, and HVAC peak load by 25 percent.
