ViewPoint Bank Appoints Construction & Engineering Executive Arcilia Acosta to Board of Directors

PLANO, Texas, June 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ViewPoint Bank today announced the appointment of Arcilia Acosta to the bank's board of directors.

Ms. Acosta is President and CEO of CARCON Industries and Construction, a full-service construction firm based in Dallas, with offices in Houston and San Antonio. She is also founder and CEO of Southwestern Testing Laboratories (STL) Engineers, which provides geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and environmental consulting. Both firms have been involved in major Dallas-Fort Worth construction programs including the 27-mile light rail projects for Dallas Area Rapid Transit, and CARCON is currently the construction manager of terminal renovations at DFW International Airport.

She also serves on the board of Energy Future Holdings, parent of TXU Energy, Oncor, and Luminant Corporation. She was named one of the "Most Influential and Powerful Women of Texas" four times by Texas Diversity Magazine and was nominated by Governor Rick Perry as "2012 Texas Business Woman of the Year," for which she was a finalist.  A native Texan, Ms. Acosta graduated from Texas Tech University and the Harvard Business School Corporate Governance Program. She serves as board member of the Texas Tech National Alumni Board.
