Vigilant Technologies on Track to Become Only Veteran Owned Cloud Services Company to Achieve FedRAMP Compliance

CHANDLER, Ariz., April 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Vigilant Technologies, a veteran owned, leading provider of cloud services, cloud engineering, and business continuity services, announced today that it is on track to achieve Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliance with the federal government. Through the federal government's security assessment, Vigilant will become the only veteran owned and the first Arizona company, to achieve compliance, and one of only a few cloud solutions companies certified to provide cloud services to federal agencies.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.

Cloud Service Providers must implement the FedRAMP security requirements in their environment before June 5, 2014 to be eligible to work on US government cloud projects. Additional information on Vigilant's governmental services can be found here.

Once FedRAMP is operational, federal agencies have two years to ensure that currently implemented cloud services or those services in an active acquisition process meet FedRAMP requirements. For all future deployments FedRAMP will be mandatory for all federal agency cloud deployments.
