Vinomis Laboratories Launches Vindurance Challenge to Substantiate Claims of Enhanced Physical Endurance with Use of Resveratrol and Quercetin

SEWICKLEY, Pa., June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The benefits of resveratrol are well studied and documented in controlled scientific studies.  It has been shown to slow down the aging process and help prevent age-related diseases including heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, and others.  But to what extent are benefits being measurably realized by real people incorporating it into their daily lives? The qualified participants will be required to be between the ages of 30 and 70 years, have a minimum of five years experience in their sport, must already be documenting their performance, and be in good health.  Cyclists must also use a bike computer to ensure accurate tabulation.  Cyclists will track mileage, duration of workout, average speed, terrain conditions and weather.  Runners will track mileage, duration of workout and weather.  Swimmers will track number of laps or relative distance, duration of workout, and type of body of water, whether a pool, lake, river or ocean, and include relevant current, tide and wind conditions.  All participants will track their resting heart rate, peak heart rate and recovery time.
