Viral Dorm Room Designers to Host Scholarship Contest
The Ole Miss students that decorated a viral dorm room are back. Lindy Goodson and Abby Bozeman have teamed up with Living Fresh.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ole Miss students that decorated a viral dorm room are back. Lindy Goodson and Abby Bozeman have teamed up with Living Fresh; the healthy & environmentally friendly bedding brand, to host the "Flip Your Dorm Scholarship Contest." The dorm décor craze that swept the social media universe has created opportunities for students to receive scholarships towards their education and Living Fresh will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship towards one students' education.
The Living Fresh brand, owned by Valley Forge Fabrics, supply luxurious hotel-quality bedding, made sustainably from eucalyptus fibers. With fall semester right around the corner, Valley Forge wanted to give the opportunity to students to create their dream dorm for the chance to receive money towards their college tuition. This led to collaboration with dorm room decorating experts, Lindy and Abby.

Flip Your Dorm Scholarship Contest will begin on July 1st. Students that are currently enrolled in college and will be living in a dorm for Fall 2017 semester are eligible to enter. Living Fresh is looking for design-savvy and innovative participants. To enter, students are asked to explain why they should be chosen to participate in 500 words or less; submissions can include concepts, previous design projects, and/or future décor goals and ambitions. Submissions will be accepted through July 28th and 5 finalists will be selected to 'flip' their dorms. The selected students will be provided a complete Living Fresh bedding package (valued at $625.00) and a $100 gift card for décor. The finalists will have 5 weeks to flip their dorm from dull to buzz-worthy. Voting will be open to the public and occur through Living Fresh's Instagram outlet. The finalist with the most votes will have a $1,000 scholarship sent to their school to be applied towards their tuition.
