Virilion Hires Former WellPoint Marketing Executive As Its New CMO

WASHINGTON, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Virilion, Inc., a full-service digital agency, today announced Kristin Patterson as its new Chief Marketing Officer according to Dan Solomon, Chief Executive Officer.  Patterson joins the organization from Fortune 500 healthcare leader WellPoint, Inc., where she most recently was Director of Marketing and Product Development in their innovative Health and Wellness Solutions division.

With 15 years experience in branding and marketing strategy, Patterson has sharpened her capabilities on both the agency side at Arnold Worldwide and in-house at WellPoint and Citizens Bank with responsibility for advertising and promotions budgets upwards of $50 million. She has developed and managed campaigns for iconic brands such as Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Monster.com.  

Patterson brings a strong marketing background from her vast experience managing WellPoint's architecture of healthcare brands.  Most notably, she led the development of custom wellness product and marketing solutions for their top clients. In addition, she trained Fortune 500 clients on how to use integrated communications including social media to engage consumers in healthier lifestyles and lowering healthcare costs.

In her role as CMO for Virilion, Kristin will help develop client solutions and manage the marketing function of the organization. She will guide efforts to expand Virilion's services and oversee the marketing strategies for the organization.
