Visible Proof Receives Several AIGA Awards

RICHMOND, Va., May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Visible Proof, a recently launched Richmond design consortium, has received a series of awards, including the Merit Award for Corporate Identity Program and Environmental/Exhibit Design and a Judges Choice Award and Best in Category for photography. The recent design awards are in addition to the GRACRE honor received earlier in the month for outstanding design and implementation.

Recent awards by AIGA Richmond for Visible Proof were a result of work performed for Sweet Spot, located in West Broad Village. Visible Proof's stylish reinvention of the traditional American candy store earned a Merit Award by AIG, while the firm's guidance at Layers Bed Company in Short Pump Town Center earned Judges Choice and Best in Category.

AIGA Richmond honored Visible Proof at their premiere design exhibition recognizing the best in web, print, and multimedia design on April 28 at the Virginia Historical Society. The event showcased the work of design finalists in 15 categories. AIGA's mission is to advance designing as a professional craft, strategic tool, and vital cultural force. Founded in 1914, AIGA remains the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design.

Kristi Lane, formerly of 3North, founded Visible Proof in 2010 and has since completed a series of high-profile commercial projects – including the redesign of the creative department at The Martin Agency.

Since launching Visible Proof, Lane has grown her team to include the nation's top designers who have worked on local and national commercial projects as well as a growing number of residential initiatives.
