Visitors to Moody Gardens Experience Sights, Sounds of Rainforest With Creative A/V Integration Design by Technomedia

GALVESTON, Texas, July 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Following $25 million worth of total enhancements, the feeling of walking through Moody Gardens' 10-story Rainforest Pyramid is so real the only things missing are the bug bites.  Many of the sights and sounds that provide the authenticity of the experience were provided by the audio visual wizards at Technomedia Solutions of Orlando, Florida who were selected as the lead A/V designers and integrators for the recent project.  One of Technomedia's highlights is the Rain Tunnel which includes a custom produced and mixed audio track delivered by a state-of-the–art system that plays an alternating mix of mating, warning, and signaling sounds of insects, frogs, monkeys, bats, and birds that are concentrated around five trees.  The A/V system utilizes motion sensors that track the amount of visitors gathered in a specified zone.  As the number of guests increases, the animal sounds become more in sync with each other and the canopy lighting.  Contact closures are sent from the sensors to a Crestron controller which in turn triggers an Alcorn McBride audio bin loop player.
