Vista Imaging Services, Inc. Supplies New C-Arm Inventory and Highly Qualified Professional Radiology Technologists to the Texas Institute for Medical Education (TIME) and Medical Education & Research Institute of Nevada (MERIN)
EL DORADO HILLS, Calif., Sept. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Vista Imaging Services, Inc. recently supplied an inventory of mobile C-Arms and Radiology Technologists to Platinum Training, corporate owner of the Medical Education & Research Institute of Nevada (MERIN), Henderson, NV and Texas Institute for Medical Education (TIME), Plano, TX to support its growing customer requests for fluoroscopy.
MERIN and TIME are BioSkills Lab firms that supports advanced training for medical professionals. Thousands of surgeons from all over the world attend courses sponsored by MERIN and TIME customers, who are leaders in the surgical device industry and medical associations.
"Having Vista Imaging Services C-Arms in our inventory and the availability of highly qualified professional radiology technologists who operate the C-Arms represents strategic assets and services for our customers," according to Chuck Oddo, Business Development Officer of Platinum Training. "Many of our customers need the use of C-Arms and radiology technologists during the courses they teach at MERIN and TIME. By having an inventory of C-Arms supplied by Vista Imaging Services we greatly simplify planning and execution of courses."
"Radiation safety is a concern in BioSkills labs. The recent discussions at the first annual BioSkills symposium highlighted these concerns as many labs lack technical knowledge and the associated imaging experience to insure safety and operational guidelines. The lack of certification programs contributes to this issue. As a result many labs are forced to ship systems to their facility for every course, making their use more costly and susceptible to shipping damage," Oddo explained. "MERIN and TIME take significant pride in a progressive approach to increased safety in our facility, including tissue screening, aseptic technique, and now radiation safety." MERIN is one of the only vertically integrated labs in the US with internal sources for tissue, meeting services for customers, and an "outcomes" focus for courses held at the facility.
