Vitamix Partners with Perfect Company to Deliver the Ultimate At-Home Blending Experience

With the Vitamix Perfect Blend Smart Scale & Recipe App, creating a blended soup, smoothie, dressing or any blended recipe is easy. Users choose a recipe, adjust it to their desired serving size or number of calories, and simply pour ingredients directly into their Vitamix container for precise measurement — the virtual container fills up in real time and an audible "ding!" signals when to stop pouring. The smart scale is designed to detect even the smallest of ingredients, like a pinch of salt or leaf of spinach to 0.1 grams, and precisely measures ingredients such as ice, kale or strawberries, which are difficult to measure accurately by volume. Vitamix Perfect Blend smart scale eliminates the need for measuring cups and measuring spoons, which means less mess and clean up, and measuring sticky ingredients like agave or honey is no longer a chore. The Perfect Blend App will launch with more than 500 chef-tested recipes, including a special Vitamix recipe collection, with more recipes being added continually.

Staying on track with health and fitness goals is simplified, as the Perfect Blend App offers meal planning tools, portions individual servings to the user's desired number of calories, and even sends calorie and other nutritional data to popular fitness apps via Apple Health or Google Fit. The Perfect Blend App also customizes to the user's lifestyle — whether vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free or something else — only showing recipes that meet the dietary preferences or exclusions they've entered. And sharing recipes from Perfect Blend to friends and family is easy; with one tap they can open your exact recipe in their Perfect Blend app.

The Perfect Blend App has a virtual pantry that makes it easy to see what can be made with ingredients on hand, and to add missing ingredients for a desired recipe to a virtual shopping list that seamlessly syncs across the user's smart devices so it can be taken to the grocery store. Users can also easily share recipes on social media to impress friends and family with new dishes created.

Vitamix Perfect Blend includes a Vitamix-branded stainless steel PRO smart scale and a custom-created Vitamix version of the Perfect Blend App, including a Vitamix-branded interface and features tailored to Vitamix blenders. Vitamix users will be able to choose their blender model and container; the app will then create a custom Perfect Blend experience designed for their blender. When a user blends a recipe, in the app they will see a replica of their Vitamix blender with virtual dials showing exactly how to blend, for how long and at which speeds to create amazing consistency. Users can also access and watch tutorial videos on how to use the app.
