Vivisimo Strengthens Business Development Team in EMEA

PITTSBURGH, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivisimo, a leader in information optimization, today strengthened its business development team in EMEA with the appointments of veteran sales executives Gerhard Hiller, Roberto Solimene and Christer Lind to the company.

Hiller joins Vivisimo as Sales Director for the DACH region, covering German speaking countries including Germany, Switzerland and Austria.  He comes to Vivisimo after serving as General Manager of DACH for Exalead Germany. Prior to Exalead, he rose up the ranks from Account Manager to General Manager of Central & Eastern Europe for Verity Germany.  Previous to Verity, he served in several sales related roles for BULL, Oracle and debis Systemhaus.  Hiller brings more than 25 years experience in technology business and sales.

As Regional Director of Western Europe, Solimene comes to Vivisimo after serving five years as Enterprise Director of Europe at Google.  During his tenure, Solimene launched, directed and managed cross-functional European Business Operations for the Enterprise division at Google, specializing  in enterprise search, cloud computing and software as a service. His achievements include building a sales team from scratch to 80 plus employees across Europe and developing a consistent record of exceeding revenue goals. Prior to Google, Solimene served as European Sales Director at Autonomy, where he built up the sales team across continental Europe and achieved sales revenues equal to more than 30% of annual turnover.

Based out of Dubai, UAE Lind joins Vivisimo as Regional Director Russia, CIS & the Middle East. During his career, Lind has built and developed a strong network and foothold in these regions.  An experienced sales leader, Lind served in various sales related capacities for several companies before joining Vivisimo, including Eferio Mobile Growth, 3G3M, JumpTap and Fast Search (acquired by Microsoft).   As Director of Northern Europe for Fast Search, he played instrumental role in expanding its penetrating into Russia and CIS countries. Previous to Fast Search, Lind helped Vignette and FileNet establish start up operations in Nordics and Eastern Europe.
