ViXS' 40 nm XCode® 5190 sets new standards for media concurrency with six channel HD transcoding

The XCode^® 5190 powers set-top box and home media gateway devices by enabling true content mobility, sharing and distribution across multiple classes of devices, including: set-top boxes; HD media players; PCs; laptops; tablets; and mobile phones, within any digitally connected home.  ViXS' patented transcoding engine, low power consumption, high levels of integration, and Xtensiv™ software stack, create a robust feature set that  supports emerging Internet Protocol (IP) based streaming devices, as well as broadcast, Internet TV and Over-The-Top (OTT) video services.

Launched only five months after the XCode^® 4210, the XCode^® 5190 has a highly flexible architecture, which is a hallmark of all of ViXS' SOCs.  The XCode^® 5190 is also highly adaptable and scalable, allowing manufacturers to customize their solutions and enable new applications.
