ViXS' XCode(R) 4210 processors deliver unprecedented system integration and performance
TORONTO, March 23 /PRNewswire/ - ViXS Systems Inc., a leading provider of smart network multimedia processors, announced today that its XCode(R) 4210 multimedia processor has been chosen by Haier Software Co., Ltd. for its next generation hybrid set-top boxes.
"Today's announcement is very gratifying for everyone at ViXS," said Sally Daub, President and CEO of ViXS Systems Inc. In addition to 3D graphics user interfaces, full HD 3D TV and web browsing, Haier's new design with XCode(R) 4210 also allows concurrent operations such as streaming to other devices in the home including PCs, smart phones, iPads and many more as a result of the advanced video transcoding capabilities embedded in XCode(R) 4210. By running an Android(TM) platform, Haier's set-top boxes will provide consumers with access to a wide range of applications available in association with Android(TM).
All of these innovations are enabled by the Xtensiv(TM) software package that deliver a truly robust set of software applications that seamlessly handle broadcast and internet video, DLNA(R), transcryption between CA and DRMs, as well as transcoding and streaming of multiple video/audio streams concurrently.
The XCode(R) 4210 is the only system-on-chip today that is in production that boasts the following set of advanced hardware and software features:
