ViXS XCode(R) 3106 provides HD Transcoding of Protected Broadcast Video
TORONTO, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ - ViXS Systems Inc., a leader in highly innovative and advanced networked multimedia solutions, today announced that Sony has selected XCode(R) 3106 for the latest line of Vaio L Multimedia Personal Computers (PCs). The XCode(R) 3106 provides advanced features such as HD transcoding of HD MPEG2 broadcast video to a HD MPEG4 AVC format for increased video storage. Video storage on to the local HDD has been increased by 4X, as compared to a non transcoding mode.
The XCode(R) 3106 also transcodes HD MPEG2 Broadcast Content to HD MPEG4 AVC to help provide increased video archiving storage for Blu Ray Disc authoring to Blu Ray Discs. In addition, the XCode(R) 3106 uses its integrated flexible Security Engine to decrypt and encrypt protected video content.
