This positive profit alert announcement is based on information currently available to the Group after review and assessment of the management accounts of the Group by the management, but has not been audited by the Company's auditors.

VODONE Group announced the positive profit alert. Benefiting from development of the telemedia business, the Group expects turnaround in the first half of 2010.
Based on the information currently available, the board of directors (the "Board") of the Company wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company and potential investors that the Group is expected to record a profit for the six month period ended 30 June 2010 as compared to a loss for the corresponding period ended 30 June 2009. The Board considers that the turnaround of the results of the Group as compared with the corresponding period is principally attributable to the improved performance of the telemedia business of the Group as well as the contributions of new businesses introduced in 2009, notably mobile lottery and mobile gaming. Moreover, from late May 2010 to 30 June 2010, VODone "Lottery View" mobile lottery software has been pre-installed onto approximately 5 million mobile handsets. The Group's target for the year 2010 is to pre-install its mobile lottery software onto 40 million mobile handsets.
