Volunteers across Missouri will participate in a statewide weekend of service
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Volunteers will cover the area to join hands and hearts, to be involved in mission projects in their communities during SERVE2012, a statewide community service event on September 8-9th, 2012.
Service projects will take place in all corners of the state and points in-between during this second annual event. Last year, thousands of volunteers participated in more than 200 projects statewide.
"SERVE2012 is an opportunity for everyone across the state to come together, volunteer, make a difference and demonstrate that love is alive in Missouri," said Audrey Phelps, event coordinator. "From singing in nursing homes to cleaning up our communities and raising funds for wonderful causes like backpack food programs for hungry children, there are ways each of us can help."
