Von Maur Department Store Signs Contract to Open First Location in Wisconsin

DAVENPORT, Iowa, April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Von Maur Department Stores announced today it has finalized negotiations and signed a contract to open a 150,000 square foot store at The Corners of Brookfield in suburban Milwaukee in Fall 2014. The store will be the Company's first location in Wisconsin.

Known for its outstanding selection of brand name and specialty apparel, shoes, accessories and gifts, the store will feature products from leading brands such as Eileen Fisher, Free People, Coach, Joe's Jeans and Tommy Bahama, among many others. Set to break ground June 2013, the two level Von Maur store will feature the Company's signature residential ambiance, complete with antiques, original artwork, open-floor plan and music from the store's grand piano. It is expected that the store will eventually employ an upwards of 200 full-time and part-time associates, the majority of whom will be full-time.

Today's announcement marks the culmination of the family-owned Company's more than 10 year push to break into the Milwaukee area. Entering a market void of peers offering the same high-quality service, selection and overall customer experience, Von Maur will instantly become the contemporary sector leader for local shoppers. Easily accessible off Interstate 94, the location will serve as The Corners of Brookfield's anchor tenant, helping to revitalize a growing, affluent area.
