Vouch Names Brandon Kaufman Head of Claims, Deepening Its Claims Advocacy Bench

Insurance attorney and former EPIC claims leader joins to serve as an advocate for Vouch clients with insurance carriers.

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vouch Insurance, the AI-enabled insurance broker built for technology companies, today announced the appointment of Brandon Kaufman as Head of Claims.

Kaufman's arrival extends the leadership expansion Vouch announced in July, when Steve Kenning joined as Chief Operating Officer, Jim Loughlin joined as Head of Client Management, and Tyson Stevenson was promoted to Chief Revenue Officer. Where those appointments strengthened how Vouch advises and serves its more than 6,000 clients day to day, Kaufman leads the moment a policy stops being a document and becomes a payout.

As Head of Claims, Kaufman leads Vouch's claims advocacy function, guiding clients through the full lifecycle from first notice to resolution. His remit includes building tailored action plans for complex, high-exposure claims, applying data and analytics to shape claims strategy, and serving as a dedicated advocate among clients, carriers, and third-party administrators.

He joins from EPIC, where he was Vice President of Claims, advising clients on resolving complex, high-exposure claims and reducing loss ratios across entire risk management portfolios. Earlier in his career, Kaufman served as in-house counsel at an ad tech startup and as in-house legal counsel for a mobility startup, where he built global insurance programs and ran litigation and claims management. He also consulted at a global insurance brokerage, advising clients on contractual insurance requirements and insurance program design, and began his career on Capitol Hill as legal counsel on federal transportation issues. Kaufman is a graduate of the University of Florida and earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University.
