VTV Family Outreach Foundation Names Alan Davis as Executive Director

WASHINGTON, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The VTV Family Outreach Foundation (VTV) announced the appointment of Alan Davis as the non-profit's new executive director. Davis is currently completing an 18-year tenure as executive director of the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) and will assume the VTV position in April of 2014.

Davis has an extensive background in higher education and not-for-profit management. As the chief staff officer of NACA, he collaborated with higher education leaders and student affairs professionals domestically and internationally. He completed several significant initiatives to realign major organizational structure, update governance bylaws, establish non-dues revenue relationships, and expand partnerships with congruous organizations.

Prior to his service with NACA, Davis worked at Tulane University as associate vice president for campus services. His responsibilities included management of major services provided to the campus community, including public safety, student affairs, and business services.

Davis has been an active volunteer during his career, having served in leadership roles on national and regional boards. While at Tulane, Davis served as a charter member, a regional president, and an officer on the national board of the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). Davis' community involvement included board service with the Fellowship Foundation Boys' Club and the Tulane Children's Center. He also served in various volunteer capacities as a parent in the K-12 school environment in New Orleans.

Davis was recently appointed to the Advisory Board of the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy of the Stetson University College of Law, and has been recognized by fellow association leaders. He was elected president of the South Carolina Society of Association Executives (SCSAE), and selected as the SCSAE Executive of the Year in 2009. Davis also served as the volunteer chair of the Council of Higher Education Management Associations (CHEMA).

Davis holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Stetson University and completed the Management Development Program of the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
